Two-factor authentication

How 2FA works for Lite — managed at the PacketStream Accounts identity layer so it covers every PacketStream product at once.

2 min read

Two-factor authentication for Lite is handled by PacketStream Accounts, the centralized identity service that issues your sign-in token. Because Lite uses single sign-on, enabling 2FA on your PacketStream identity automatically protects every product on the same account — Lite included.

Enabling 2FA

  1. Open identity.packet.stream and sign in with your PacketStream account.
  2. Open the security settings.
  3. Enroll a TOTP authenticator (1Password, Authy, Google Authenticator, etc.) by scanning the QR code.
  4. Save the recovery codes generated at enrollment in a safe place — they are the only way back in if you lose access to your authenticator.

Heads up

Lost both your authenticator and your recovery codes? Account recovery requires identity verification and may take 1–2 business days. Set up the recovery codes the moment you enable 2FA.
